Ross provides each student a printing allocation of $200 per academic year in the form of a monetary credit, which is accessed using your MCard.
Printing is charged at 10 cents per black/white page and 50 cents per color page. You are only charged for print and copy jobs you release from the printer using your MCard.
This allocation is not transferable nor will it roll over to another academic school year - the available balance will be reset at the start of each new academic year. Printing credit is not refundable.
This allocation is offered by Ross and is therefore dedicated for Business School printing only. ITCS offers each student 400 pages of black/white printer per semester for use at other University locations.
Multifunction Xerox printers are installed throughout the school. These printers allow you to copy, print and scan to your My Site webspace.

Workcenter 7655 Setup Instructions
A driver needs to be installed before you are able to connect to the Xerox printers. For those using OSX 10.6, the driver must be installed prior to configuring the printer.
There is a known issue with using the printers from a laptop running the Vista Home Edition.
In order to print, you must have FollowU printing configured according to the instructions. You must also connect with the RossWireless SSID - click here for installation instructions.
Download this patch and save it to your desktop. You will need to run the patch each time you are on the Ross Campus or you reboot your laptop.

(Vista Home Edition only)
Note that this patch is not needed for all other versions of Vista (Business, Enterprise and Ultimate).
In order to use the Xerox Workcentre, you must swipe your MCard. Your MCard will unlock the printer for your use and track the number of copies or printouts. It is essential that you log out of the printer, or someone else can use the printer with your funds.
Once logged in, the front screen will show three options:
Copy
ScanFlow
FollowU
Place the documents in the feeder. Choose Copy then set your preferences, such as double-sided, stapled or hole-punched.
Place the documents in the feeder and choose ScanFlow. The document will be saved as a pdf file in your My Site webspace. This option does not use any of your printing funds.
Once you swipe your card, you will have the opportunity to release your documents. You can release your document from any Xerox Workcentre, therefore you do not need to know the name of the printer nearest you. In fact, you can just move to a different printer if the nearest one is in need of maintenance.
Please Note:
Student printers are fully locked down - you either need your M-card or your pin number.
Do not share your pin number. If someone has your pin number, they can copy using your funds - we have no way of tracking this
After swiping your card, you do not have a limit of copies – if you forget to logout someone could use all your funds.
In addition to these tips, you can help the environment by printing double-sided whenever possible, which will cut your paper consumption in half. This may not seem like much, but it adds up - having 2,000,000 copies to 1,000,000 copies in the lab is significant!
Change from duplex to single-sided and back again by first selecting your printer, then clicking 'Properties'. Find the duplex setting and choose 'Flip on Long Edge' to orient pages to flip like a book. Choose 'None' only when you really need single-sided printing. This habit is particularly useful when printing out web pages, some of which can be quite long.
